The shape of pipes has evolved from simples shapes, in small increments.
Make the bowl bigger or smaller, round the top or bottom of the bowl, open or close the bowl,
change the length or diameter of the shank, create facets, etc…
These successive developpements have given rise to standards,
nominated and recognized by the entire profession.
